Over fourteen hundred years later, Jesus sat down to the Passover meal with His disciples and said, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you." That very night in the Garden of Gethsemane, being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. (Luke 22: 20b,44 NKJV)
Al Gore and his Global Warming advocates would not be very popular in Korea right now.
SEOUL, South Korea – Seoul residents slogged through the heaviest snowfall in modern Korean history after a winter storm dumped more than 11 inches (28 centimeters) Monday, forcing airports to cancel flights and paralyzing traffic in South Korea's bustling capital.

THE PASSOVER
Read Exodus 11:1–12:42
"I am the LORD … when I see the blood, I will pass over you.” Exodus 12:12b–13 NIV

Sarah Palin was right on target to call them Death Panels. Death Panels indeed. Whatever the Democrats calls the board, it is a panel that is charged with cutting costs and rationing care on the backs of Medicare recipients.
No one is certain of what’s in the bill, but Senator Jim DeMint spotted one shocking revelation regarding the section in the bill describing the Independent Medicare Advisory Board (now called the Independent Payment Advisory Board), which is a panel of bureaucrats charged with cutting health care costs on the backs of patients – also known as rationing.
Apparently Reid and friends have changed the rules of the Senate so that the section of the bill dealing with this board can’t be repealed or amended without a 2/3 supermajority vote. Senator DeMint said:
THE EVIDENCE OF FAITH
Read Hebrews 11-12
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen...By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. Hebrews 11:1, 3 NKJV
* * *
This is the inspiration section of Hebrews. Some call it the “Hall of Faith.” These Old Testament believers didn’t have the clear picture of redemption that we have in the completed Scriptures. They saw it by faith from afar off, believing in God’s promise of a Messiah. They obeyed what God told them to do, even when they didn’t fully understand. For them, and for us, the requirement for pleasing God was believing Him. For ...without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (11:6)

Lord, reading about these heroes of the faith, we are put to shame. Help us to "lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1b-2 NKJV

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth....But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. Hebrews 11:13, 16 NKJV

What in the world is going on. Our own military is turning our troops. This is disgraceful. Of course, the Obama administration feels good about this, because Obama and his cronies want to prosecute the CIA. I am waiting for the show trials in New York.
The trials of three Navy SEALs charged with abusing terrorist prisoner Ahmed Hashim Abed -- captured in a daring action in early September -- may be delayed past the planned January 19th commencement. The incident for which the SEALs are charged is -- as Rowan Scarborough and I reported in early December -- one which should never have resulted in charges against the SEALs.
The court martial of Matthew McCabe -- the SEAL charged with punching Abed in the stomach -- may delayed from January 19th because the prosecution wants to take a deposition of Abed in Iraq rather than producing him at the trial, according to a statement released by McCabe’s lawyer, Neal Puckett, on December 31.
Blogger threaten by TSA jack boots for writing about the Christmas Day terrorist attack. Well well, this is a fine mess. President Obama and his politically correct cronies are downplaying the terrorist attack and will not even call it a terrorist attack. Shame on Obama.
At 7:00 p.m. on December 29, armed TSA agents banged on the door of photojournalist and KLM Airlines blogger Steven Frischling’s Connecticut home.
“They threatened me with a criminal search warrant and suggested they’d call up my clients and say I was a security risk if I didn’t turn over my computer to them. They said ‘we could make this difficult for you,’” Frischling told me in a telephone interview the following afternoon.
By then, TSA had removed Frischling’s computer from his home, made a copy of his hard drive, and returned the computer to him.
Are California public universities trying to keep Christian students out. Well, it seems like the UC system may be trying to go one better. It appears that they are trying to set Christian High School curriculum. In a case that has wound its way through the courts, the Univeristy of California is taking on all Christian schools.

Everyone loves puppies, kittens, and babies. But they grow into dogs, cats, and adults. And as such often they are hard to love. This time of year the events surrounding the baby Jesus is on the minds of many. But the baby Jesus grew up a long time ago. Jesus became a man, and many found him hard to love.
He came to His own people and they rejected Him. In His home town they sought to throw him over a cliff. Religious leaders sought to trap Him in His words; failing that they sought to kill Him. His teachings were considered hard, and many followers left. Some of His teachings that were considered hard are:
- You will die in sins unless you believe that He is God.
- If you reject the Son, you'll be rejected by the Father.
- One must come to the Father through Him.
- To be His disciple, one must take up his cross and follow Him.
- Disciples must love Him more than family.
- To love Him is to keep His commandments.
- One is to believe and be baptized to be saved, or be condemned.
Today Jesus Is Adored and Ignored
Some relish the fact that He came
but ignore reason He came.
Some adore the baby Jesus (Christ-child)
but not the man (Christ-lord).
Some enjoy visions of a baby in a manger,
but not a king in heaven.
Some participate in the activities of Christmas,
but not in the actions of a Christian.
Some clamor for the spirit of Christmas,
but not the spirit of Christ.
Some pay lip service to Him,
but reject His rule, His commandments, His Way.
